Sony and CBS Team Up To Create 3D Experience

Sony, one of the major players in the development of 3D technology for entertainment have announced plans to partner with CBS to create a 3D Consumer Research Center.

The 3D Consumer Research Center is located in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. According to Sony Electronics’ executive VP Mike Fasulo, the center will be a “a dedicated resource devoted to studying 3D in all its forms”.

There will be two zones at the center. One zone will focus of 3D theatrical entertainment while the other will concentrate on 3D home entertainment such as 3D television sets.

Visitors to the center will be able to watch previews of the latest 3D cinema releases and learn more about the hardware including HDTVs, PS3 and 3D Blu-ray. Visitors will also find out more about the latest new releases from the company.

Sony have been hard at work on their 3D entertainment range and they have already started taking pre-orders for their  3D television sets.
